An Evening with Steve Preston, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries International [Christians in Business x Net Impact]

Steve Preston has been CFO of two Fortune 500 companies (Waste Management, ServiceMaster), CEO of two corporate turnarounds, head of the SBA, and U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, where he sat on the TARP board during the 2008 financial crisis. Since 2019 he has run Goodwill Industries International, a network of 150 organizations with $8.2 billion in combined revenue.

Join us for a candid conversation on running large organizations under pressure and building a career around serving others. Steve will speak for about 30 minutes on his time at Goodwill, navigating 2008, and how he approaches ethical, faith-informed leadership. That leaves 20 minutes for your questions, then casual mingling with light snacks.

Open to all MBA students, whether or not you identify as Christian. If you are weighing finance, operations, public sector, or social impact paths, this is a chance to hear from someone who has done all of them.
