DEI Trivia!

Hello Everyone,

I'll be hosting another DEI Trivia event March 20th! I thought it would be more fun to involve the whole program so the event is open to everyone. Put together a team (≤6 people) and come compete for 1st prize!

Will there be food?
Yes! Did you know the largest immigrant population in DC is Salvadoran? In honor of this, we will be eating the national dish, pupusas! Pupusas are thick, handmade corn tortillas that are stuffed with various fillings and then cooked on a griddle. (There will be vegetarian and dairy-free options available. Everything is nut-free and gluten-free).

What is DEI Trivia?
DEI Trivia is designed to celebrate the rich cultural diversity within MSB. It’s more than a game; it’s an opportunity to learn, connect, and engage with the incredible communities that make up our school. The format follows a classic trivia night, featuring multiple themed rounds that will challenge your knowledge and spark meaningful conversation. Teams of up to six will compete, and while pre-formed teams are encouraged, I can help match solo players so everyone can compete and have fun.

This isn’t solely about crushing your competition in a game of trivial knowledge, it’s about broadening perspectives! In the midst of our busy lives and in a world that often feels like a waking nightmare, it can be easy to lose sight of inclusivity and empathy. This event gives us a chance to put those values at the front of our minds — to think beyond ourselves, to celebrate our differences, and to build a more connected community if even for just a few hours. So come eat, laugh, and learn — at the end of the night, the real win is walking away with new knowledge, new connections, and a deeper appreciation for the people around you.
