Each volunteer must complete two waiver forms in advance - links below. Meeting point: Lovers' Lane, ~200 ft east of R St & 31st St NW (signposted "Dumbarton Oaks Park, Open Dawn to Dusk")

Date & Time: Sunday, September 27th,  9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Meeting Location: Lovers’ Lane - approximately 200 feet east of R Street and 31st Street NW; it's signposted by a green-on-white wooden plaque reading,  “Dumbarton Oaks Park, Open Dawn to Dusk.” (Directions) (Map)

Bring: We recommend wearing long pants, long-sleeved shirts, socks, and closed-toe shoes for protection, and bringing a water bottle.

We Supply: gloves, tools, training, snacks, and supplementary water.

Forms: DOPC Volunteer Waiver and NPS Individual Volunteer Form. Please fill out/sign, digitally or print & scan, and send them back to us prior to the volunteer event. Each volunteer needs to fill out both forms in advance.

Cancellation Policy: Events will be canceled either in advance or curtailed during the event for inclement weather or conditions which create safety hazards. Notices will be emailed and posted to Facebook by 7:00 am.

For a bit of background, this short film highlights the historic significance of this beautiful urban woodland garden and the restoration efforts spearheaded by Dumbarton Oaks Park Conservancy.  Here too is one of our core documents, Restoring an American Treasure
