The Adam Smith Society is an MBA community of current students and alumni, who believes that business, entrepreneurship, and commerce are wellsprings of a prosperous and free society. Our members are dedicated to exploring the links between economic development, government policy, and social movements, through both rigorous debate and thoughtful discussion. The national organization sponsors a series of lectures, case competitions, and treks, which give MBA students access to current business leaders, published academics, members of the press, and policymakers. We hope to inspire the future generation of business leaders to think about their own responsibility in improving the world's free market system to promote human flourishing.

The Graduate Investment Fund (GIF) is a student-managed long-only global equity fund. Endowments and alumni contributions provide capital for the Fund and members actively participate in evaluating current and potential investments for the Fund's portfolio. Any member has the opportunity to pitch trade recommendations for the portfolio in line with the Fund's due diligence process.

The two main objectives of the associated club are outperforming the Fund's investment benchmark and professionally developing its members.

Club Membership Fee: $100 for membership through time at Georgetown. Membership fees go towards sponsoring club events and purchasing other resources for members.

The MBA Student Government Association - FT (SGA - FT) serves the student body of Georgetown's Full Time MBA Program. In this capacity, the SGA - FT is the primary interface between the student body and the faculty and administration. The Student Government Association - FT also plans social events and boosts alumni relations. The Student Association exists to make students' time at the McDonough School of Business as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. The SGA - FT is ultimately responsible for major student organization decisions, management of finances, and implementation of new and existing policies or initiatives. One of the most popular and well-known functions of the SGA - FT is social event planning. The vice president for events and social activities plan all major social events both on and off campus. These events include the Thursday kegs, outings to local sporting events, and the Winter and Spring socials. In addition to the executive officers, first-year cohort representatives are elected in the fall and are responsible for the leadership of their respective cohorts and represent the cohorts in various administrative settings.
