Hello DXIers!

We hope this email finds you well, wherever you are in the world!

It's hard to believe we are halfway through the spring semester. Now that the dust has settled post-exams, we wanted to share a few updates so we can hit the ground running upon our return from spring break.

DXI and GMA are collaborating together to put on a logo competition for all members! Our clubs have the privilege of working together to provide a logo for the upcoming McDonough Cup in April. This logo will be on all the flyers, marketing, and t-shirts!

We are putting together a workshop to go over some resources and tools such as Canva to help you all create an amazing logo, which will be voted amongst our two clubs.

We will split the attendees into teams to brainstorm and work on a design which will be voted on amongst our team members. You will have some time to work together and we will vote on a logo via survey by March 27th.

Please join us for this exciting event and then Happy Hour at Clubhouse afterwards!

Peter is an empathy-driven experience architect who will share his background and teach relevant skills that students can apply to their summer internships and post-MBA careers. Participants will engage in group activities and simulations for a chance to win prizes. Afterwards, all participants will become IBM certified!

Please note this workshop is only for graduate students.

ICYMI - DXI Teams Up with Pivot Program

Many club members volunteered their time in February with the Pivot Program, Georgetown’s b-school program for returning citizens. Members worked with Professor Evelyn Williams and her team to engage Fellows and help them create, develop, and test their business ideas for a major sporting goods retailer using design-thinking principles. A big thanks to Ed Yap and Ben Cheriyan for keeping us in the loop!

Tech & Society Week | March 27 - April 01

The Georgetown Initiative on Tech & Society is hosting its 2nd annual Tech & Society Week. While we encourage you to check out all the events, DXI members may be particularly interested in Fail Fest 2023, featuring 4-5 professionals working at the intersection of technology and society. They will share fun (and funny!) stories about their work, how to succeed by "failing forward," and how to find opportunities from mistakes and failures.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 3/28, from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Mid-Campus Terrace (between the Leavey Center and Hariri building in Georgetown's main campus). Food and drinks will be served. You can RSVP and find more details here.

That's it for now! Wishing everyone a productive ILE and GBE—and, of course, a restful spring break!

Cheers,
DXI Leadership Team
