About Us: Introduction to the Georgetown Wine Society
Mission: To provide an educational and social forum for students and their partners to taste and learn about wine while offering an opportunity to network with fellow Georgetown graduate students and the broader wine community.
Main member offerings include learning from expert lectures on the business and culture of wine, joining guided wine tastings, attending events at local venues, and exploring nearby vineyards.
Our objectives include helping members develop the basics of wine etiquette, varietals, and regions; creating a relaxed and welcoming environment where anyone can learn about wine in a comfortable atmosphere; and encouraging the responsible enjoyment of wine. We seek to build a community using wine as a common focus and increase interest in wine among young professionals.
